The project was located at the Cemex Quarry Site located south of Temescal Canyon Road in Riverside County. The project was required to direct the entire flow of Mayhew Creek down a 700′ concrete channel built on a 2:1 slope to the floor of the main quarry pit.
KEC graded the slope, installed an underdrain system and constructed the channel and dual box culvert. We then built earthen channel sidewalls and completed the structural backfill.
